Director Pharmaceutical Services

Pharm. (Dr.) Mrs. Asuelinmen Celina Ebodobhawe a clinical pharmacist was appointed the Director of Pharmaceutical Services HHSS FCTA with effect from 17th November, 2017 following the retirement of the former Director of Pharmaceutical Services Pharm. (Mrs.) H. K. Ibrahim. However, she was deployed to Hospitals Management Board 20th November 2017, with the commendation that her knowledge of Clinical Pharmacy will be better utilized at HMB.

Prior to her appointment as the Director of Pharmaceutical Services HHSS, she was the acting Director Pharmacy FCT Primary Health Care Board June, 2015-November 2017. She has also headed other positions, among which includes:-

  • Head Abuja Central Medical Stores 2011-November 2014.
  • Deputy Director Pharmacy Hospitals Management Board  2009- 2011
  • Assistant Director in charge of Pharmaceutical Care and Drug Information Service Division Hospitals Management Board 2007-2009
  • Chief Pharmacist Central Medical Store, Abuja 2001-2006
  • Principal Pharmacist in Charge of Pharmacy Unit Kubwa General Hospital 1991-2000

She became a Consultant Clinical Pharmacist (FPcPharm) in 2005, Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) in 2003 and Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) Degree in 1984.

The Scientific Research in Clinical Pharmacy she has carried out includes:-

• Inventory Management at Central Medical Stores in Federal Capital Territory  Abuja

• Impacts of Drugs Revolving Funds Scheme on Patient Care in FCTA Health Facilities

• She has supervised many research (Thesis) by Students of West African Postgraduate College of Pharmacy (WAPCP) Since 2008 till date

• Drug Revolving Fund (DRF) Scheme Consultant

• Initiator/Co-Ordinator of Pharmaceutical Care (PC) Practice in All FCTA hospitals since 2005.

• Member /Secretary HHSS Drug and Therapeutics Committee.

• Member of Board of Trustees Abuja Children’s Home, Karu.

• Member Federation of International Pharmacist (FIP).

• Member Universal Peace Federation (Ambassador for Peace)
