Kwali General Hospital is located along the Abaji- Lokoja express way. It was built during the Rtd. Lt. General J.T .Useni’s Administration. While he was the minister of FCT. It started operation on the 1st of September,2003 and was officially commissioned to a fully-fledged General Hospital on the 4th April,2005 by the then FCT Minister, Mallam Nasir EL-Rufai.It was then a 36 bedded Hospital which offered secondary services with Dr. Oladele Fagbohun as the Pioneer Chairman.
Its vision is to excel in the delivery of Qualitative health care services for the general well-being of lives in Kwali, its environs and to be the pride of FCT.
Its mission however is to focus on, to pursue the mission of Health and Human Services Secretariat and to provide comprehensive health care system that is participatory, client oriented, accessible, affordable and acceptable.
It offers secondary services in Obstetrics and Gynecology (O&G), Paediatrics, Medicine, Surgery and Optometry. It has the Laboratory units which include Tuberculosis (TB) and Gene xpert labs, and the Pharmacy, Radiography units. Other units include Medical Record unit, NPI (National Program on immunization), Admin and Finance, Audit, Nutrition and diet, dental, and the Mortuary unit.
