Director Nursing Services

Mrs. Grace O. Eleri was appointed the Head of Nursing Services Department, HMB, FCTA with effect from 13th May, 2016 following the retirement of the formal Director Nursing Service, Mrs. F. O. Asika.

Prior to her appointment as Head of Department Nursing Services, HMB, she was Principal, FCT School of Midwifery 2009 - 2011, Gwagwalada and Principal FCT School of Nursing, Gwagwalada (2012 – 2016. She has a Master of Science Degree in Nursing (M.Sc.) (Maternal and Child Health Nursing) from University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo state in 2014; a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (Education) from University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State in 1990; a Registered Nurse Educator 1993; a Registered Midwife 1987 and a Registered Nurse 1984.

 She has four (4) scholarly articles namely:

She has attended several courses/workshops in both management and Nursing profession. She is a member of National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) and Graduate Nurses Association of Nigeria.

 She has served severally as a dependable resource person for the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria: 1. Led Accreditation team of the Council, 2. Served as an Examiner and 3. she served as a panelist that reviewed the General Nursing Training Curriculum.

Mrs. Eleri area of interest is Maternal and Child Health Nursing and Nursing Education. She is happily married with children and enjoys reading, travelling and listening to inspirational songs and messages.
