Asokoro District Hospital is located at 31, Julius Nyerere crescent in Asokoro District of Abuja. It is one of the 14 hospitals managed by the Hospitals Management Board (HMB) of the Health And Human Services Secretariat (HHSS) of the Federal Capital Territory Administration.
The Hospital was commissioned on December 3, 2001 by the then President of the federal Republic of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and has since been providing comprehensive health care services including clinical services, training and research to FCT population and environs. These services are being offered in line with the mission of Asokoro District Hospital which is to provide high quality, affordable and comprehensive health care, utilizing modern and appropriate technology and highly developed human resources. The ultimate vision of Asokoro District Hospital is “to be at the apex of the healthcare delivery system in the Federal Capital Territory”. This fits into the overarching vision of the HHSS establishing and maintaining a level of health care that guarantees socially productive lives in the FCT.
