Wuse District Hospital (WDH) was commissioned in June 1990 as a Health Centre by then Hon. Minister of the FCT, Maj. Gen. Gado Nasko (Rtd). It has a staff strength of 427 out of which 342 are permanent and 85 are locum staff. The Hospital currently is a Multi-Specialty Secondary Healthcare Centre with a total admission capacity of 132 beds.
The Staff consist of Consultants, Specialist Nurses, Pharmacists, Medical Laboratory Scientist, Radiographers, Medical Records Officers and other Officers in various fields of medicine and administration.

Wuse District Hospital is located at No. 15 Conakry Street, Wuse Zone 3, Abuja, which is Central to the Wuse District Commercial hub. It serves the immediate environs (Wuse Zone 1-7, Wuse II, Central Area, Gwagwa/Karmo, Jabi/Utako, Wuyeh, Nyanya/Mararaba, Zuba, Dei-Dei, Suleja etc). The proximity of the Wuse Central Market and the Motor Park to the Hospital account for the high patient inflow to seek medical care in the Hospital.
